Hello Book Lovers

It was a special treat for #doglovers and with great music.

Sadly, the program was only available to listen to on download for seven days. However, the interview without the music is now on Spotify.

Guide to conversation on 'Listen with Lee'

  • Introduction and chat about my recent retirement
  • Reading from 'Young Ebenezer ~ A New Christmas Carol'
  • First song was 'I need a holiday' Scouting for Girls'
  • Discussion of pocket books 'Ruby's Summer Treats' and a reading of 'The Great Escape' with Houdini Hamster
  • Second song 'Human' Rag 'n' Bone Man (our running order had actually gotten out of sync from what had first been discussed showing we really are 'only human'
  • Discussion about my WIP (work in progress) 'Chester Unleashed' book three of the 'Calvin the Swan' series. Although I am looking to create a new version 'Willow Tree Lake'
  • Third song 'I love my dog' Cat Stevens
  • Final discussion, with social media links and short discussion of 'Lost Love in Spring' beautiful art mentioned created by Kirsti Vass @ArtbyKirsti discussed my garden and living in the countryside next to strawberry fields this could have lead to a great song by The Beatles 'Strawberry Fields Forever'
  • However the fourth and final song I had chosen was also by The Beatles 'Paperback Writer' more apt for an author.
  • Finally we finished off with a plug for 'Lyde Court Book Fayre' on Saturday 23rd May 2026 celebrating National Year of Reading and welcoming over twenty local authors and friends.
  • Come along and meet the lovely Lee Benson in person make sure to book your FREE ticket to enter into a special prize draw.

Thank you for visiting

Happy Listening
